DNAlysis
Complex and utterly fascinating, finding out what our genes say about us. These tests are not finding out our heritage & origins as some of the tests on the market are doing.
These tests are differentiated by the company and laboratory that is used. DNALife is dedicated to providing healthcare practitioners with training and education to accurately interpret genetic results for their clients and to guide them through changes that will further enhance their DNA and ensure their bodies are getting the required nutrients that are needed.
Genetic testing gets to the basis of a patient’s biochemistry. Such a sensitive subject demands careful measures for revealing and interpreting the results of genetic testing. DNALife has set new standards, not only in the development of our test panels but also in the education of those using the tests. These test panels are being expanded on all of the time, these are the ones I have attended training in so far:

Live Your Healthiest Life Starting From Today.
Grounded in solid science, based on SNPs that are well researched and actionable
Cholesterol metabolism and responsiveness to Diet
Food responsiveness, such as sensitivities to lactose, caffeine, and salt intake
Bone health
Methylation
Inflammation
Oxidative Stress
Insulin Resistance
DNA Health tests for genetic variations that are know to have a significant effect on health and susceptibility to chronic diseases such as osteoporosis, cancer, neural tube defects, cardiovascular disease and diabetes amongst others. Nutrigenomics research has shown that individualised diet and lifestyle choices do have a significant effect on the expression of these genes - but this also depends on early detection and appropriate intervention.
-
Keep a Sound Mind in a Sound Body
Neurodegenerative disorders - mild cognitive decline and late onset Alzheimer’s disease
Mood disorders - Depressive, bipolar, anxiety disorders and post-traumatic stress disorder
Addictive behaviour - Risk for alcohol, nicotine, cannabis and opioid dependence, eating disorders, adrenaline seeking/high risk behaviour
DNA Mind analyses 30 genes which have been shown to have significant associations with key mental health disorders.
-
Your Best Diet, Exercise and Weight Management
Variations linked to obesity and being overweight
Ability to lose or gain weight easily
Responsiveness to exercise
Mobilisation of fat from fat cells
Ability to metabolise fats for energy
Metabolic rate
Absorption rate of dietary fat
Having identified the presence or absence of polymorphisms, we are able, qualitatively, to assess particular areas of intervention for improved weight management related to specific genes. To make a holistic assessment of weight management, environmental factors (diet and lifestyle) and previous medical and weight history need to be considered in conjunction with the accompanying genetic profile.
-
Take Control of Life’s Changes
Phase 1 detoxification
Phase 2 detoxification
Personal risk factors associated with HRT, Oral Contraceptives, In-vitro fertilisation
Intervention strategies for at risk clients.
DNA Oestrogen tests for gene variants that have been shown to have an impact on how oestrogen is metabolised and therefore may help individuals lessen the risk for developing breast cancer.
Improving oestrogen metabolism is of benefit to women who suffer from oestrogen-dominant conditions such as endometriosis, premenstrual syndrome and uterine fibroid tumours. Are you aware that 80% of breast cancer occurs in women with no family history? Research has shown that an increased lifetime exposure to oestrogen is a strong risk factor in the development of breast cancer

Let Good Health Shine Through Your Smile
Relevant DNA Smile biological areas
The relation of the biological area to oral health
Evidence on the genes and SNPs associated with periodontal and general oral health outcomes
Intervention guidelines related to the biological area with regards to diet, nutraceutical, lifestyle and dental support
DNA Smile is a genetic test designed to give you insight into the state of your dental and oral health and risk for developing periodontal disease and tooth caries. This test reports on gene variations involved in key biological areas including innate immunity, inflammation and acquired immunity, sweet-tooth predisposition, detoxification and lipid metabolism - all of which are central in the management of periodontal and systemic health.
-
Maximise Your Sporting Potential
Energy during exercise
Fuel burning during exercise
Caffeine metabolism
Muscle fibre type and bone composition
Endurance/Aerobic capacity
Power/Strength potential
Cardiopulmonary capacity
Structural integrity of soft tissues
Inflammation and oxidative stress
Blood flow, blood pressure & oxygenation

Are you pregnant or planning a pregnancy?
Did you know you can optimise the health of you and your baby by better understanding your unique genetic make-up and adopting a more personalised approach to your lifestyle, supplement and diet choices. The GrowBaby test from dnalife® gives insight into key biological areas related to maternal and fetal health and provides recommendations on how mothers-to-be can optimise their health, and their baby’s health, from pre-conception to birth and beyond. GrowBaby is designed by dnalife® to improve pregnancy and birth outcomes

Resilience - the ability to recover quickly from a crisis.
Recommendations to boost your resilience potential
Improve your health outcomes
Thrive using a personalised diet, nutraceutical, exercise and lifestyle recommendations
DNA Resilience is a genetic test targeted at individuals who want to lead more effectively (in business, sport and life), cope better under stressful and demanding conditions, enhance their mental, emotional and physical health. Live to your full potential.
Research shows that resilience is highly heritable, meaning there is a strong genetic component to one’s baseline resilience and it is how we interact with our environment that determines our ability to thrive under adverse conditions.
Case Study
As an example, when I had my own tests done, one of the findings is that I don’t make Vitamin D3 very well, my DNA has a gene that is slightly faulty, I can’t tell you how glad I am to have this information at this point in my life. I live in Scotland so we don’t get the highest level of sunshine in the world so I do take a Vitamin D3 throughout the Autumn and Winter and am outside regularly doing dog walks etc. Now, however, I know I need a higher than average Vitamin D3 to compensate. Vitamin D3 has been found to be so valuable in keeping our immunity at a good level and also incredibly important at getting calcium into the bones rather than other tissues in the body.
The reports are really user-friendly and practical. The impact of diet, lifestyle, exercise and environment on a person’s genetic makeup and how their genes communicate is incredible. Knowledge of how the genes are influenced by external factors not only shows how genes might be damaged by external influences but also how they can be enhanced and made more dynamic. This can be helpful from the chronically ill person to someone at peak fitness wanting to gain even more from their training programme.
Our DNA tests focus on health management, dietary disposition, athletic performance and drug metabolism. Each test provides a unique insight into a patient’s genetic code: revealing sensitivities, susceptibilities, and keys to their true health potential. That is such an important phrase: “True Health Potential”
